To enter a new case:

Step 1: Hit the New case button present in the menu, it will take you to a page that helps in searching for a duplicate case or creating a new case. If you want to enter a new case directly without searching for a duplicate case skip all the steps given below and create a new case by clicking Create new case link.

Step 2: If you want to search for already existing duplicate case, you can search it by entering first name, last name, SSN or date of birth of the descendent. If the case is found follow steps 3 to 4 else go to step 5.

Step 3: Once the duplicate case is found it can be viewed or updated by clicking the case # column of the required case.

Step 4: After clicking the case number the CIR part of the case is opened, other parts of the case like descendent info, next of kin, Incident info etc can be reached by clicking the hyperlinks provided at the top.

Step 5: If duplicate case is not found, create a new case by clicking Create new case link.

To update a case :

Step 1: Hit the Update case button present in the menu, it will take you to the page that helps you to search for the case by entering either first name, last name, SSN or date of birth of the descendent.

Step 2: Once the duplicate case is found it can be viewed or updated by clicking the case # column of the required case.
