The Coroner Investigation Reporting System exists to encourage uniformity across the Commonwealth of Kentucky, and operates with the approval of the Kentucky Coroners’ Association.  The CIRS was developed and implemented in 2002 with the web-based application available in 2006.  It is meant to be used for all coroner cases, and information entered into this system will be handled with the most current and available security precautions.
